Hi,

This is probably a topic that should be brought up with the council itself, which I might do, or in a residents' meeting, which I can't generally go to.
I don't generally go through the list of repairs when I get the service charge variance to estimate bill, but I did just now.
I was a bit flabbergasted at the last item on the list that cost a whopping great big £3408.54 to 'lay new paving slabs by kissing gate'. !
....how can it be so much? I'm sure it was only about 3 paving slabs that had to be laid, when they should have been put down when the kissing gate was installed.

Any builders or anyone else in the know who could give me a rough idea of how much that should have been? I can't understand how it could be so highly priced.

Luckily I only have to pay a very small percentage of that.
