| This was the old Masonic Hospital. It languished for decades because it wasn't part of a large private hospitals group, and it has changed hands several times in the last 20 years. For a short period it did hip and knees replacements for the NHS. The large US hospitals groups like United Hospitals and HCA are descending like a swarm of locusts into London, buying sites in prestigious places. This hospital might be sold on to one of them.... |
