What astonishing scenes in Hammersmith last night! Hope anyone isn't too badly affected. A fantastic response from the emergency services but less so from Thames Water. Surely their under investment in our water network is short sighted because the insurance claims they are going to have to pay will be monstrous. I hope that none of the shops and restaurants in the affected area are driven under by this because I know it is a difficult stretch to make a decent income from.
