When I read the initial coverage of the Jameson on Blythe Road changing its name to the Trump Arms I thought it was a bit of fun and a clever publicity stunt. However, some of the subsequent coverage has suggested it might be a good idea to avoid the place on Saturday. The description of the event as a Nazi Ball by some left wing groups just shows their lack of understanding of history. The organisers seem to include perfectly respectable right of centre organisations like the Bow Group and the Bruges Group but they perhaps need to be a bit more careful over the company they keep. This recent article from the Talk Radio web site shows that one of the organisers of the event is Lucy Brown. Her involvement is highlighted in the latest edition of Private Eye in which they claim she was the camera operator for EDL leader Tommy Robinson's inflammatory anti-Islamic YouTube videos. and helped him organise a 'Day for Freedom' rally.
