Blimey - that's a bit of a blast from the past. Well if it is going to be a garden bridge it probably will be a lot cheaper than Boris's one. Ultimately I don't think it is sustainable to keep it closed as the collateral damage to neighbourhoods who are affected by the diversion is too high. The next Mayoral election is in May 2020 and it is inconceivable that they won't have a plan to reopen by then. |
