My husband and I witnessed a mugging of a female pedestrian at the busstop outside Homebase by Bobs while we were in our car at the junction of A40 Western Avenue and Old Oak Road a few weeks ago. My husband gave chase on foot and retrieved the bag, while I called 999 from the car.
It took one hour for the police to turn up, meanwhile both the victim and the perpetrators had disappeared. The local police told us that Scotland Yard took 55 minutes to relay my calls to them, as they responded the moment they got the call (5 cars, flashing lights, the lot - just one hour too late).Very frustrating. |
