"That not the way you should look at it." With respect, why not ? You, I and may others who are able to pay save the equivalent of the price of a Mars bar every week. Someone who is vulnerable enough to need meals on wheels pays 50p more for every meal. The Council should allow for increases in costs when they decide on budgets and anyway, I don't imagine that the cost of the food ingredients accounts for much of the cost of a meal on wheels. So, IMHO, any increase in costs is no excuse. They're taking money from the vulnerable to fund tiny (and IMHO pointless) tax cuts. I challenge a Councillor to come on here and justify it. |
