| I agree that less of the burden of this regressive tax should fall on those less able to pay. I'm lucky enough to be able to say that I don't see the need for me to get the equivalent of 50p a week back in my pocket. The point I'm trying to make (not very well, obviously ;-) is that the Council said that they wouldn't be cutting services or subsidies to facilitate the tax cut - they'd be able to fund it from cutting waste. It seems that they changed their minds......funny how Councillors are replying to other threads on this board but not this one, don't you think ? |
