| Yes, West layton were part of the Fitch Lovell group,They were an amalgamation of West,s & Layton & Burkett, They then joined with R Gunner provisions & butchers & in the 70,s & traded as West Gunner ltd,They put butchery counters in Key Markets (Worlds store/David Grieg)=Gateway=Safeway = Somerfield now Coop,West Gunner was sold to Vestey group to join their Dewhurst chain dissolved in 95,Anyone wanting more info can email me at norman.finnimore@yahoo.com |
