| Leave the structural engineers to sort out what can be done with the structure, and don't create an illusory impression that English Heritage will prevent a good solution. Collectively they understand the structure, its deficiencies and what can realistically be done. The engineers will use the appropriate materials and how to use them - old and the new. Why on earth do you think that putting a carbon fibre backing to the deck will solve the problem - or modern bolts. Solutions have to come from those who understand the problem. |
